Hawaii District 5000 and Rotary Japan & Pacific Islands Disaster Relief Fund
In response to the massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on 11 March, The Rotary Foundation has established the Rotary Japan and Pacific Islands Disaster Fund, which will support long-term recovery projects in affected areas. The effects of this disaster have been immense with the death toll rising each day.
For donations for immediate relief, make checks payable to: D5000 Foundation and on the memo line indicate: Sendai Japan Disaster Relief Fund.

We are suggesting donating to District 5000, because Rotary International should end up matching the amounts we spend to help so our contribution amount should doubled by the time it gets to Japan.
