Community Service Chair: Harlan Hughes
RYLA was a BIG success in 2006!!!
Every year the eight Rotary clubs on Maui hold a youth leadership camp called Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. This year it was held from Friday, January 20th through Sunday, January 22nd. We invited 10th and 11th graders from all Maui high schools to apply to attend. Our target was 50 students. In 2005 we had 26 participate and this year there werre 63 new students and 9 that returned!!!
A big Mahalo to Tom Caltrider and his leadership and coordination in providing this great experience for our youth. Thank yous also go out to all the volunteers that make this event happen.
